How tutoring works

A clear route from first conversation to focused support.

Good tutoring starts with listening. The process is designed to understand the student, make the practical details clear and keep each next step manageable.

The journey

Five useful stages.

The consultation is not a lesson or a sales script. It is the point at which both the family and RGTutors decide whether the service is a sensible fit.

  1. Stage 1

    Free 15-minute consultation

A short conversation with the parent and student about confidence, current level, goals, availability and what has or has not helped so far.

  2. Stage 2

    Tutor match and clear proposal

RGTutors identifies a suitable tutor and confirms the practical details—including availability and price—before a paid lesson is booked.

  3. Stage 3

    Book the agreed paid lesson

Once the tutor fit, lesson time, fee and practical terms are agreed, the family can choose the confirmed slot and complete the paid booking.

  4. Stage 4

    Online lesson

The tutor can focus on the topic that matters now, explain it clearly and agree a useful next step instead of filling time with generic worksheets.

  5. Stage 5

    Focused practice and review

The student area keeps available topics, questions and mistakes to revisit in one straightforward place between lessons.

Before any paid booking

The tutor, lesson length, fee, timing and applicable cancellation terms should be clear in writing.

Book once these details are agreed

For the student

The next action should stay simple: attend the lesson, continue a topic or return to a mistake.

For the parent

Questions about fit, practical arrangements and progress belong in the conversation, not behind marketing claims.
